And my new grandma Bea Arthur

Magic happens over beer at the Folk Fest
From [Here] magazine: "Fortune's Favor, while still Celtic in nature and close to the band's roots, includes a few more rock-inspired songs than usual. "This is by far the most rock 'n' roll record, and we're coming off the back of our most traditional record," says Doyle. "One is just a roll off the back of the other." The sound was largely inspired by long-time friend of GBS, Hawksley Workman. Doyle said the five thought it would be interesting to allow an album to be steered by someone else for a change of pace, and Workman was the perfect guy for the job. "We've known Hawksley for years. He was available and eager, and we kept trying to hook up. After a cold beer at the Calgary Folk Festival, we decided that now is the time," Doyle chuckles."
